Vaping - what do young people want to know about e-cigarettes from health care providers?

Description
Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are battery powered products that heat liquids (e-liquid) to produce an aerosol which can be inhaled by the consumer. Also known as vaping, e-cigarettes are increasingly being marketed to both young people as safer, cheaper and healthier options to smoking. In Australia, they can be used to support smoking cessation tool with a prescription for nicotine e-liquid from a doctor. There is concern about the growing number of people vaping in the community and the role that GPs and health services can play in supporting people quit vaping. This research project will explore the perspectives of e-cigarette users and who they look to for information they can trust about e-cigarettes and health risks.
