Time from diagnosis to treatment and survival outcomes in patients with pancreatic cancer and/or oesophagogastric cancer.

This project will use Upper Gastro-Intestinal Cancer Registry data to investigate the time from cancer diagnosis to initial treatment among patients with pancreatic and/or oesophagogastric cancer. The study will examine variation in treatment timeliness by patient, tumour and treatment characteristics and assess whether longer time to treatment is associated with poorer survival outcomes. This project involves: - Data auditing and cleaning of UGICR data. - Calculation of time intervals from diagnosis to initial treatment. - Survival analysis to examine the association between treatment timing and patient outcomes. - Data analysis and visualisation to identify patterns and variation in treatment timeliness across patient groups and health services.
