The role of therapeutic context in gut-brain disorders: Exploring clinical perspectives

The management of gut disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome, involves complex interactions between biological, psychological, and contextual factors. While dietary interventions are central to care, factors such as the therapeutic environment may also influence patient outcomes. In collaboration with Dutch and UK collaborators, this study will explore dietitians’ knowledge, perspectives, and clinical use of contextual factors in the management of these gut disorders. The findings will provide insight into current practice and help identify opportunities to optimise patient-centred approaches within gut-brain health care.
