Description
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disorder affecting the brain and spinal cord. It encompasses both neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Three in four affected are women, typically diagnosed during a woman's reproductive years (20-40). Pregnancy improves outcomes in women with MS. However the mechanisms through which pregnancy is beneficial remains unknown.
Here we utilise magnetic resonance imaging and biofluid analysis to understand how pregnancy improves MS.
The data collection has begun.
