Perinatal epidemiology projects

Description
The Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM) is an advisory body to the Victorian Minister for health. CCOPMM collects substantial data on every birth in Victoria that can support projects related to maternal and perinatal health. Examples of recent projects include investigation differences in perinatal death rates at similar hospitals; identification and management of severe fetal growth restriction; investigating changes in the rate of Aboriginal perinatal mortality. If you have an idea for a project related to maternal or perinatal health or care, we can have an initial discussion regarding its feasibility in terms of suitability of the available data, timelines, skills. Depending on the research question, we can design a suitable project for you to conduct under my supervision and recruit an appropriate co-supervisor. This would suit a student interested in maternity/perinatal care, who wishes to develop skills indata manipulation and analysis as well as writing for publication.
