Perceptions of Vaping Cessation Guidelines Amongst General Practitioners and Pharmacists

Description
Perceptions of Vaping Cessation Guidelines Amongst General Practitioners and Pharmacists Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are battery powered products that heat liquids (e-liquid) to produce an aerosol which can be inhaled by the consumer. Also known as vaping, e-cigarette use has risen dramatically in the past five years, especially among young people. Addiction to nicotine is common amongst people who use e-cigarettes. In Australia, vaping cessation guidelines are being introduced to support doctors treat patients with nicotine dependence association with e-cigarette use. This research project will explore the perspectives of health care providers and their needs supporting patients who use e-cigarettes to quit.
