Description
This project will use Victorian Lung Cancer Registry data to examine patterns and timing of palliative care referral among patients with lung cancer. It will investigate variation in referral rates and timing by patient and clinical characteristics and explore whether earlier referral is associated with treatment patterns and survival outcomes.
This project involves:
- Data auditing and cleaning of VLCR data.
- Statistical analysis of referral patterns and variation across patient and clinical characteristics.
- Data analysis and visualisation to identify patterns and potential inequities in access to palliative care.
