Nutrition and healthy ageing

Description
As the global population ages, it's increasingly important to understand the role of behavioral risk factors such as diet in disease prevention and healthy aging. I have several projects available that aim to understand the relationship between dietary intake and health outcomes in older adults. Projects provide students with an opportunity to analyse data collected from the ASPREE Longitudinal Study of Older Persons (ALSOP). ALSOP is a sub-study of the ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly (ASPREE) trial, that aims to identify factors that may have a major influence on health, independence, and quality of life in Australian older adults. These project will help to develop key research and data analysis skills and are open to honours students and short term research projects (PBH3006, PBH3006, MPH5274, MAP5000 and MAP5010)
