Mapping a national directory for the implementation of consumer and community involvement.

Description
Active involvement of people with lived experience or patients (consumers) to improve healthcare services and health and medical research is fundamental to systemwide healthcare change. Known as Consumer and Community Involvement (CCI), this space is a rapidly advancing field and we are undertaking significant work to embed genuine, best practice CCI in research and health services to deliver value and improved outcomes to our community. This mixed methods project will involve scoping organisations invested in consumer and community involvement (CCI) and collecting data through structured and semi-structured interviews to develop the first and most comprehensive directory of CCI activity nationally. The work will contribute to a national knowledge hub that is being developed to support networking and adoption of consumer and community involvement.
