Developing best practice guidelines for stakeholder and consumer workshops

Description
Stakeholder engagement is fundamental to ensure relevance and translation of research outcomes to end-users across all types of research within health and medical research. Currently there is great need but little guidance for conducting evidence-based and best practice facilitation or workshops that involve consumers and other stakeholders. This project will involve reviewing the evidence, interviews or focus group and a survey to develop detailed guidance around how to approach and run workshops or other engagement activities with consumers and other stakeholders. Such workshop examples include priority setting, co-design, intervention development, feedback sessions etc. The student will gain experience in stakeholder engagement, qualitative research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice in stakeholder and consumer and community involvement. The student will join a nationally leading multidisciplinary team in a health research implementation centre that is committed to evidence and best practice in healthcare and the involvement of consumers and community. Additional professional development is provided, along with strong collegiality and support.
