Community engagement in research

Description
Monash Partners fully supports the involvement of healthcare consumers and the community in research, healthcare improvement and innovation. Our philosophy is research and innovation in partnership with the community, rather than for the community. Consumer and Community Involvement is fundamental to systemwide change in healthcare. we have developed a national program providing general and practical information and strategies to meaningfully conduct and embed consumer and community involvement in research and healthcare improvement projects. Significant work has already been undertaken nationally in this area https://monashpartners.org.au/education-training-and-events/cci/. Here building on our extensive work we are offering a PhD opportunity for domestic students in advancing evidence based strategies to involve and partners with consumers. This will include systematic literature reviews, review of integrated models, qualitative research interviews across the UK and Australia, evaluation of existing programs and co-design strategies to advance this work. This is a rapidly advancing field and skills acquired here will be invaluable in career opportunities.
