Codesigning lifestyle management education for PCOS and women's health

Description
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition associated with significant reproductive, metabolic and psychological impact. Lifestyle management strategies are first line treatment for PCOS according to NHMRC-approved guidelines. However, healthcare professionals are not adequately equipped or upskilled to provide such guidance that is specific to PCOS. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team, including dietitians, psychologists and endocrinologists to work closely with stakeholders in the co-design, development and implementation of a suite of educational resources and materials, including a digital short course for healthcare professionals delivering education to those living with PCOS. Monash Centre for Health Research Implementation has a strong national and international track record for implementation research. Within this research program, there is ample opportunity for the candidate to conduct independent research with the support of a research team with extensive experience in implementation and translational research. There is also the opportunity to expand this research to other women's health conditions such as infertility, menopause or endometriosis.
