Co-receptor dependence of TCR signalling in proinsulin reactive human regulatory T cells

Description
We have discovered that the initiation of a TCR signal in Treg cells entails docking of the Treg TCR in the opposite orientation to that observed for TCRs from T effector T cells. How this affects TCR signalling thresholds in Tregs with respect to a second signal via co-stimulatory molecules will be investigated using co-receptor blocking antibodies in T cell lines expressing a panel of Treg TCRs.
