Can we improve the multiple sclerosis diagnostic process?

Description
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic autoimmune disorder affecting the brain and spinal cord. The accurate and timely diagnosis of multiple sclerosis requires combining clinical features, cerebrospinal fluid and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). A timely and accurate diagnosis is of paramount importance to enable the early commencement of disease modifying therapy. Current diagnostic criteria are based on 2017 MS McDonald criteria. Here we investigate optimising the diagnostic process balancing safety, accuracy and speed.
