Description
There have been changes in menopause awareness, attitudes to hormone therapy, and treatment of female sexual dysfunction.
This PhD will explore the contemporary physical and psychosocial wellbeing of Australian midlife women, including menopausal experience and sexual wellbeing in a nationally representative sample of 7500 women, 40-69 years, recruited by Prof Davis and Dr Islam
The PhD student will report on the prevalence of
I. menopausal symptoms;
II use of hormonal/ nonhormonal menopause therapy;
III. sexual dysfunction and
IV. prevalence of depression and use of antidepressant therapy
