The association of physical inactivity and sedentary behaviour with health

Description
If you are interested in research on physical activity and sedentary behaviour and their impact on health in adults/older adults, please get in touch. There are multiple projects available with a unique opportunity to analyse the data of the ASPREE Longitudinal Study of Older Persons (ALSOP) or Ausdiab study. ASPREE (ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly), is a randomised, blinded, placebo-controlled clinical trial of low-dose (100mg) aspirin in healthy older adults. ALSOP is the sub-study of ASPREE with an aim to identify factors that may have a major influence on health, independence and quality of life in Australian older adults. AusDiab is the largest Australian population-based study examining the natural history of diabetes, pre-diabetes, heart disease and kidney disease. The projects will help students develop key research and analytical skills.
