The association between travel time to treating hospitals and outcomes for patients with lung cancer

Description
This project will investigate the relationship between travel time from a patient's residence to their treating hospital and outcomes among individuals diagnosed with lung cancer. It will examine differences in travel time by geographic location and patient characteristics, and explore whether longer travel times are associated with differences in access to treatment and survival outcomes. The findings may help identify geographical inequities in cancer care and inform strategies to improve access to timely, appropriate lung cancer services, particularly for people living in rural and regional areas.
