Active surveillance of early stage thyroid cancer parients after hemithyroidectomy. Quality of follow-up and outcomes.

Description
Following the publication of the American Thyroid Association guidelines for the management of thyroid cancer in 2015 there has been a trend to manage early stage thyroid cancer with hemithyroidectomy alone with surveillance of the thyroid remnant and neck lymph nodes for recurrence. This conservative approach required review to reassure patients and their doctors that this is a safe approach. The student would collect cases form the Monash Partners hospitals and perform an audit of the follow-up and outcomes for these patients. This would be published in the international literature.
