Exploring biomarker testing and its association with treatment and survival outcomes in patients with lung cancer

Description 
This project will use data from the Victorian Lung Cancer Registry to investigate real-world biomarker testing among patients with lung cancer. The study will examine the proportion of eligible patients who undergo biomarker testing, patterns and timing of testing, and whether testing is associated with the receipt of targeted treatment and patient survival. The project will also explore variation in biomarker testing and treatment across patient and clinical characteristics and health services. This project involves: - Data auditing and cleaning - Use of statistical software to examine associations between biomarker testing, treatment and survival outcomes. - Data analysis and visualisation to identify patterns, variation and potential inequities in biomarker testing and access to targeted treatment.
