Description
This research programme aims to improve acceptability and effectiveness of self-monitoring of fetal movements by pregnant women to reduce adverse pregnancy outcomes and enhance communication with pregnancy care providers about fetal wellbeing.
A number of projects are available including;
-Implementation and evaluation of a novel fetal movementn tracking app
-Systematic approach to screening of pregnancies with fetal movement concerns
-Women's perspectives on risk communication in late pregnancy
-Clinical evaluation of presentations for decreased fetal movements pre-term
The projects will suit a student with a background in or passion for women's health, public health, maternity care or biomedical science. The student will have the opportunity to develop skills in systematic review and qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and healthcare implementation with the potential for scientific publication.
