Evaluating the sustainability of the WHO Labour Care Guide in three hospitals in Karnataka, India

Description
The World Health Organisation (WHO) Labour Care Guide (LCG) was developed to promote women-centred care while maintaining effective monitoring during labour and childbirth. In the nine months following a pragmatic, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomised trial in India, three hospitals opted to continue implementing the LCG. Nineteen semi-structured interviews from a purposive sample of healthcare providers from these hospitals were conducted to explore factors associated with their sustained use of the LCG. This project involves the analysis of the qualitative data to understand the determinants of the sustained use of the LCG. Inductive and deductive thematic analysis of data will be done using the NVivo software.
